Plenary 1: International and National Policy

This session will explore the next steps for the global action plan on dementia. Our diverse and exciting range of speakers will discuss how they developed a national plan and what this meant for their country.  The session will also hear, first hand, what is it like to be living with the plan.

The session will include presentations on the following areas:

  • The global action plan on dementia – the next steps, outlined by our deputy CEO, Chris Lynch
  • ‘How we developed a national plan in Costa Rica’ from our VIP guest speaker Luis Guillermo Solís, Ex-President of Costa Rica
  • What does a dementia plan mean for the USA? Harry Johns
  • Living the plan – an account from Jerry Wylie, a person living with dementia in the USA
